January is the perfect time for you if you wish to take a trip to the Eternal city. The weather in Rome  in January is fairly mild, with lows (at night) of about 3-4°C, and highs during the day of about 14-15°C. The days are short but it can be surprisingly warm and sunny between 11am and 4pm.  On sunny days Rome is enveloped in a warm and soft light. The crystal clear sky at dusk  is tinged with nuanced pink.  With the low crowd and cheaper accommodation, staying in Rome during January is fairly easy. Although the winter sales make an enchanting trip to Rome in January a highly considerable option.
